Best Buddies Friendship Walk: Rochester NY Photography - Hayes Photography Blog

One of the things I love doing as a photographer is helping organizations spread the word about their particular cause. Through the years, I've given my time to photograph various events like the ALS Association's Walk to Defeat ALS, Challenger Miracle Field fundraiser, SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association) Bowling Fundraiser and most recently the Best Buddies Friendship Walk. I've been honored to provide images, promote awareness and help raise funds to support their worthy causes.

A few weeks ago, I headed to the Total Sports Experience facility in Rochester, NY to document this awesome event. Best Buddies is an organization that aims to enrich the lives of youth and adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their friendship programs are supported by local special events as well as private and corporate contributions. It was a fantastic time with lots of fun, laughter, dancing and celebrating of some truly wonderful people!
