Christine Music and Beach: Penfield Senior Portraits

Meet Christine!  She's a senior at Penfield High School who is an absolute sweetie!!!

Back story:  During my substitute teaching career, I worked with and for her mom at Webster Thomas High School. I used to hear about her children and saw framed photographs on her desk, cute kids. Fast forward a few years and mom comes calling about senior pictures.  I was thrilled!  It's always such an honor when a friend or acquaintance asks me to create portraits for them because it solidifies the fact that they have the confidence in me and my talents and skills.

I sat down with Christine and her mom during the consultation appointment and found out about her interests.  Together, we came up with locations that would work.  I find that this appointment is so key in planning as well as letting us get familiar with one another.  It makes all the difference in the final images.

The day was perfect, albeit a bit warm.  We met at the Eastman School of Music, as Christine is quite an accomplished saxophonist, and had a lot of fun with poses in the halls and stairways of the building. Then, it was on to Ontario Beach Park in Irondequoit.  It was a typical summer day. There were lots of people swimming, sunning, boating and playing which made our session all the more festive!  Christine has such a relaxed personality that regardless whether she was dressed up playing the sax in the halls of Eastman or in shorts on the beach, she killed it.  The resulting images speak for themselves.  I especially love that long-legged fashion shot on the stairway as well as mom and Christine cracking up as she tries to sit in the window!
