Congrats to the Class of 2016!: Rochester Senior Portraits

What a weekend! It was jam-packed with events.  The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival began it's week-long run, my son celebrated his twenty-fifth birthday, my husband and I celebrated our twenty-eighth wedding anniversary, and our daughters joined us for a HOT summer day at the beach in Ithaca at Taughannock State Park.  It was all about family and summertime fun!

As much as this post sounds about me and my life, I want to focus on the joy of family achievements, specifically the academic achievement of so many high school seniors... graduation!  This weekend marked the end of several weekends of celebrations honoring those high school seniors.  Families flew in, parties were planned, new outfits purchased, caps and gowns ironed and prepared for the big day.  I want to congratulate each and every graduate out there, whether I photographed their senior portraits or not, for having made it through and wish you the very best for your future!

To my hs senior parents, thank you for having the confidence and trust in me to create unique and memorable images of your sons and daughters.  No doubt you will  gaze at them and remember the smooches and hugs when they were little, the endless activities of their youth and the fun and laughter of family time.  I hope that you'll enjoy them for years to come.

To my seniors, thank you for your laughter and jokes, for your willingness to share future plans and dreams and for being the truly bright, amazing young people that you are.  I loved working with you and getting to know you.  I'm excited about the future of our world knowing that you'll be a part of that reality!  I hope that when you look back upon your senior pictures, you'll remember the fun we had and when you show them to your children and grandchildren it will take you back to this special time.  Photography is truly a special record of our memories to be shared and passed down.

Congratulations Class of 2016!  Now, get outta here and go conquer the world!!!
