Sophia at the Stable: Webster Senior Portraits

I get totally excited when I can incorporate what my seniors love into their senior portraits. Case in point, Sophia and her love of horses and riding.  After sitting down with Sophia and her mom, it was clear that we needed to schedule her session where she spends most of her time, the stables.

I checked out the location, Canalside Stables in Macedon, in advance and came up with so many ideas that it was hard to narrow it down.  The day of her session showed a possibility of rain, but fortunately, that didn't happen until the end and we were shooting indoors by then.

Sophia chose Cashmere, a mare, to be a part of the experience. What a love to work with, and Sophia was great too! ;)  Photographing animals always adds an element of uncertainty to a session, but everything went smoothly. Sophia's expertise with horses really showed in her control and it was obvious that she loves Cashmere.

I know Sophia is busy with college applications, etc. so I want to wish her the very best with her decision process and with the rest of her senior year.  I have a feeling her love of horses will stay with her forever and these images will be some that she and her family will be able to treasure for years to come.
